PHL Illegal Dumping (Trash Talkin’)

In a project funded by the William Penn Foundation and in partnership with the city of Philadelphia’s Office of Clean and Green Initiatives, the Overbrook Environmental Education Center is developing a community outreach and public information program to understand root causes of illegal dumping across the city’s diverse communities. We are identify promising prevention and/or enforcement interventions and creating a model for scaling policy and programmatic solutions citywide.

The program has also engaged in a talk show called Trash Talkin’ on WURD Radio and community outreach programs in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania.
